Developing reading skills for teenagers is one of the most challenging tasks for teachers of English as a foreign language (EFL) given the fact that they have to reconcile teenagers’ personality traits – being dynamic - and the ‘inactive’ features of the comprehension activity – being silent without the expense of improving their language ability. Furr’s reading circles strategy (2011) is a promising technique that can solve what has been outlined based on its amalgamation of the option of using appropriate texts to suit learners’ needs and the tools of stimulating teenagers’ dynamism - their active preparation and participation in group discussions. The study, based on a mixed-method, was an attempt to find out teenagers’ attitudes towards the reading-in-circles strategy in such aspects as preferences, perceptions, and behaviors. The design of the study was of a case study owing to the constrained selection of subjects.
