Applying Ai Technology In Designing Activities To Teach English Vocabulary - Insights From Efl Teachers At High School​

This project aims to do applying AI ( artificial intelligence) technology in designing English vocabulary games to high school students. By using AI tools, teachers can create a variety of vocabulary games that match the level and interests of students, from word matching and quizzes to role-playing games. The project involves seventy 10 th grade students from DL4 high school . The participants are following the usual English program for high school students in two different classes. During the experiment, the students do various English vocabulary games with AI. Before and after administering tests to measure learners' vocabulary retention, a questionnaire survey assessed their attitudes towards AI. The results indicate that AI contributes to improved vocabulary retention among learners. Additionally, participants exhibited positive attitudes towards this technology. The findings from this study provide valuable insights into the perceptions and experiences of EFL teachers regarding the use of AI in vocabulary instruction. The positive attitudes towards AI highlight its potential to enhance the learning experience through engagement, personalization, and immediate feedback. These findings suggest implications for enhancing EFL vocabulary teaching practices.
