Applying The Flipped Classroom Approach In Teaching The Writing Skill To Efl 6th Graders - A Case Study At A Secondary School​

This study explores the efficacy of the flipped classroom approach in enhancing writing skills among secondary school students. The flipped classroom approach involves the reversal of traditional teaching methods, where students engage with instructional content outside of class through online resources, allowing in-class time to be dedicated to active student-centered learning and practice. The research methodology employs a mixed-methods approach, incorporating both quantitative and qualitative analyses. Quantitative data is collected through pre- and post-tests to assess changes in writing proficiency among participants. Additionally, qualitative data is gathered through questionnaire to explore student perceptions, attitudes, and experiences with the flipped classroom approach. The study aims to contribute to the existing literature on innovative pedagogical strategies by providing insights into the potential benefits and challenges of implementing the flipped classroom approach for writing instruction. Findings from this research may inform educators, curriculum developers, and policymakers in designing effective writing pedagogy that promotes student engagement, autonomy, and achievement.
