    Applying The Mind Mapping Technique To Improve EFL 6th Graders’ Speaking Ability
    The research entitled “Applying the mind mapping technique to improve EFL 6th graders' speaking ability” (a quasi-experimental study done in the sixth grade of junior high school). The aims are to test the effectiveness of mind mapping strategy in teaching English speaking and evaluate the effect of mind map method in develop students‟ speaking skill and suggesting some solutions to improve the effectiveness of using mind maps in teaching speaking skill. It showed that there was improvement after the treatments. It showed that the use of mind mapping strategy is effective to improve students‟ speaking ability. Based on the questionnaire result, the writer concluded that almost all of the students showed positive response toward the use of mind mapping. They liked studying English speaking by using mind mapping. So, they got a lot of benefits and experience, it could increase their creativity and imagination, making them more focused in speaking, remembering the vocabulary better and finding English learning fun.
