Using English Vlogs To Enhance 10th Graders’ Speaking Skill​

This study examines the effectiveness of using English vlogs to enhance speaking skills among EFL high school students. Conducted in Nghệ An during the 2023-2024 school year, the research involved 84 tenth-grade students enrolled in the standard English program. The experimental group engaged in English vlog activities during the study period, while the control group received instruction through traditional methods. Data collection included pre-test and post-test assessments, along with a survey questionnaire and reflective journals. Results indicated that the experimental group outperformed the control group in the post-test evaluation. Furthermore, insights gathered from the survey questionnaire and reflective journals highlighted students' positive reception towards English vlog activities. These findings underscore the effectiveness of integrating English vlogs in enhancing speaking skills among EFL learners in high school settings.
