    Using Extensive Listening To Improve Efl 6th Graders' Listening Skill
    Listening comprehension is a crucial skill for foreign language learners since it requires background knowledge and various abilities. This project aims at improving EFL learners’ listening ability and fostering interests through extensive listening practices. Forty-nine students from an intact class at a secondary school participated in the experiment. During the treatment, they listened to four videos per week, while the 48 students in another intact class, who served as controls, followed the conventional curriculum. Project instruments included pre-tests, post-tests, and a questionnaire administered after 12 weeks. The results have highlighted the students' strong appreciation for extensive listening activities, which they believed had helped improve their listening ability and foster their motivation in listening. The project suggests that educators should use a variety of these extensive listening activities to engage students effectively and create a supportive learning environment. It emphasizes the importance of adapting the method to meet the needs of different student groups, especially those who are initially less interested in listening.
